Export data of main machinery and equipment in August was released, tractor increased by 45%

According to customs data, in August 2020, Chinas export value of mechanical and electrical products reached 966.7 billion yuan, an increase of 14.1% year-on-year, and the growth rate continued to expand compared with July; the import volume was 567.9 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 3.3%, and the growth rate was 2% lower than that in July. From January to August, Chinas exports of mechanical and electrical products totaled 6.47 trillion, an increase of 2.1% over the same period of the same period of the previous year; and the import volume totaled 4.05 trillion, with a year-on-year growth of 2.0%. From January to August, Chinas mechanical and electrical import and export volume increased year on year.

In terms of main types of machine tools, in August 2020, China exported 2.32 million sets of machine tools, an increase of 28.2% over the same period of last year, and imported 7554 sets, with a year-on-year increase of 1.2%. From January to August, 13.08 million units were exported, down 4.9% year-on-year; 54571 units were imported, with a year-on-year decrease of 13.1%. In August, the import and export of machine tools significantly recovered, and the year-on-year growth rate of import and export in January August was significantly narrowed compared with the previous seven months, especially for export, which was 15% lower than that in January July.
